Sturt Holdfast Marion CC

SHMCC promoted and managed the Annual Australia Day Track Cycling Carnival at Edwardstown until 2009. DUE to policy changes within CSA , the club submission to "host" this Carnival  in 2010 was unsucccessful ! Due respect for the "historical" host of this  cycling event did not carry the day. Another club (SCCC) will host the event at the Edwardstown venue (as of 03 01 2010)!

Our Club also promotes and manages the Jim Pascoe Memorial Road Race. This race is usually held in May (August this year 2010 is the target month) in the Willunga area . Note that in consideration of CSA policy in respect of the type and difficulty of road races (ie easier ,leading/building up to harder events) our major road race will now be held in august this year as a graded race with A grade riders racing approximately!!120 klm about the Range and points east.The Willunga Hill climb route is no longer used due to the increase of local traffic .
